Sunday Morning Breakfast

Apparently the compulsion we have to open our mouths while feeding babies starts at a very young age.

The ugly side of couponing

I'm glad B found a hobby that saves money rather than takes it. Sometimes I wonder whether it's worth it though. This is an all-too-common occurrence around here.

So many coupons. They're everywhere. EVERYWHERE. How does this happen, you ask? This one typically has something to do with it:

It's Pat!

Meet Clarence and Olivia.
(This is the kind of thing I do for fun with my sister.)

C's a little more convincing as a boy...

than O is as a girl.
Anyway, there's been some ambiguity concerning C's gender since she got her new haircut. The trouble is that she runs around in a diaper 90% of the time. She WILL NOT keep clothes on. It's been this way for months, but that's not the point of this post. The point is that when she's not wearing pink/purple/girly clothes, people seem to think she's a boy.

And when I say people, I mean a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, but still...

While we were in Utah, we were at my sister's house and her 7-year-old son had a friend over to play video games. C was running around in a diaper, but then decided to put on a pink ballerina outfit. She ran back into the room with my nephew and his friend and my sister heard the friend say, "Oh, that's a girl!"

Then, I was at my friend's house a few days ago and her 5-year-old daughter came home from the neighbor's house and walked in to find C, once again, in a diaper. Right away she asked her mom, "Who's he?" When her mom told her it was C, in total disbelief she replied, "It is?!"
Please, hair, grow...please...

Thank you D...

...for spilling stain all over the carpet while I was in Utah.
Now I have a beautiful new banister and in a week, I'll have beautiful new carpet in my house.

Every time C walks by (which is often) she says, "Oh my goodness, what did Dawan do? He bake a mig mess!"

It's called stain for a reason.

At least the banister (not quite finished) looks nice.

Home, Sweet Home

We spent just over three weeks in Utah with our families and rolled back into town at about 11:30 am yesterday after 18 hours in the car. The kids did really well until about 15 minutes from home. Meltdown city! But, I could hardly blame them. More posts and pictures to come.

Who takes (let alone buys) a picture like this anyway?

Melissa is a Miracle Worker

We finally got C's hair cut on Tuesday. I think it looks so good, considering what we had to work with. She reminds me of Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music.

She didn't want her picture taken so I had to fool her using the zoom, hence the fuzziness.

She looks so chic with her new 'do and Dora shades.

Here it is from the back.

Thanks again, Melissa!
