Yesterday B and C came downtown for the annual cattle drive through the middle of downtown. Each year a group of cowboys and rodeo queens drive 100 head of longhorns right through the middle of the skyscrapers to kick off the Texas Stampede (rodeo). As you can imagine, it was quite the spectacle.
Incidentally, the longhorn parade reminded me of one of my favorite songs of all time, "Bulls on Parade," by the incomparable Rage Against the Machine. B won't let me listen to it anymore though, ever since I confessed that the song was the soundtrack to a dream I had once which involved me going on an angry killing spree.

ReplyDeleteme and melisa rally around the family with a pocketful of shells. You need to buy the guitar hero video game.... rage can be one of the favorites for family night... thats how i still get to hear it.
