O's New Digs

B and I...okay, I have been obsessing over O's nursery for the past several months. I figured that if I was going to sire the 2028 Heisman winning quarterback from BYU, he'd need to have a proper nursery. This should probably do the trick.

Thanks to B for making the curtains and crib skirt (once again, I have a very nice wife), and to my sister Audrey for painting the Y logo on the wall.

Today

This video pretty much sums up my first day home alone with two kids.

C threw about three HUGE tantrums today, which is pretty unusual for her.

In retrospect, I probably should have just given her the TicTac she wanted.

C and O Meet

O has arrived!

Well, after a day that seemed as long as the previous nine months combined, our baby boy was born yesterday at 5:05 pm. He's a little guy, just 5 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long. The nurse who was weighing him initially called him, "Punkin," but then corrected herself and referred to him as "Peanut."

The labor and delivery went pretty well. B got induced at 8:30 am and had an epidural at 10:00. Almost immediately after getting the epidural, B got a spinal headache, which was pretty excrutiating. Fortunately they were able to give her some medicine to make her too groggy to remember all of the pain, since there really wasn't anything they could do to make it go away. Around 4:45 she started pushing, and after 5 pushes, out popped O!

As you can see from the pictures, he's clearly the cutest baby ever born. He looks a lot like C did, but with even wilder hair (though he was spared her double cowlick). I think he's going to be smart. I promise yesterday I taught him to say, "Go Cougars."

B is doing reasonably well, though she still has a bit of a headache. They're going to do some procedure called a blood patch if the headache doesn't go away on it's own. It's almost gone though, so she'll probably be alright and we should be home tomorrow afternoon. Come visit!

Update on C

She's oblivious to the whole "new baby" thing, but very intrigued by the baby swing we set up last weekend.
Her favorite activity lately is playing dress up. Here she is sporting...
my shoes,
panties over her jeans, and one sandal,
her bathing suit for next year,
her apron,
a little hat for O, a purse,
mom's sunglasses,
and her sunglasses.

Update on D

Waiting for this baby to come so he can have his nice wife back.

Update on Me

Huge.
Uncomfortable.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
