One Week Later...

It's been a week now since our little hair cutting incident. I still can't get used to the way she looks. The day after it happened I took her to Kiddoos to see what they could do. They assured me they see this all the time, but then admitted that it's not usually this bad. Basically, I paid $20 for them to trim a few hairs and try putting her hair in pig tails to see if it looked better. It didn't. She has a mullet.

I don't know what to do. Do you think it's better to leave the hair long in back and risk people thinking the mullet is intentional or should we give her a little pixie cut and start fresh? Keep in mind she won't leave bows or head bands in.

Here are the pig tails.

It's so humiliating!

She's kind of cute still, right?

Wait, don't answer that.

Maybe she'll just wear a hat everyday for the next six months.

  1. You know I don't think it looks bad, especially in pic #3, but seriously a pixie cut could be darling. She is such a darling face, beautiful eyes. I could see it working for her. Either way, she's still cute.

  2. Of course she's cute! She's darling, in fact!

I might go for the pixie cut, myself-ooohhh! Or, how about some of those little summery head wrap jobbies?

Hang on, I'm etsying some... I'll send you an email with a few ideas. :)

  3. She IS still so adorable. I do think a pixie cut would be way cute on her, but I know how hard it must be to kiss that long hair good bye for now. It will grow back one day.

  4. I would go for the pixie cut, she will thank you for it when her hair isn't sticking to her in the Texas summer heat. A beautiful girl like that can handle any haircut. Every choice has a consequence right...

  6. She is still so cute no matter what haircut she has!! I would go for the pixie cut and just start fresh, that way it will all grow back at the same time AND maybe it will grow faster!:)

  8. She's cute no matter what. A pixie cut would be cute and it would grow out nice and even, but hats are always good too.

The good thing about it is that hair grows so quickly. Christina has been awfully scary with scissors lately too. I put them up high today, thinking of your recent hair-cutting experience.

  9. She is a beauty!!!!! Although, Les and I can stop laughing when we are looking at the pictures and reading your comments. You are just killing me over here :) My sister cut my hair when I was that age and I am told that it wasn't pretty. Whatever you decide, she is still super cute.
