It's Pat!

Meet Clarence and Olivia.
(This is the kind of thing I do for fun with my sister.)

C's a little more convincing as a boy...

than O is as a girl.
Anyway, there's been some ambiguity concerning C's gender since she got her new haircut. The trouble is that she runs around in a diaper 90% of the time. She WILL NOT keep clothes on. It's been this way for months, but that's not the point of this post. The point is that when she's not wearing pink/purple/girly clothes, people seem to think she's a boy.

And when I say people, I mean a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, but still...

While we were in Utah, we were at my sister's house and her 7-year-old son had a friend over to play video games. C was running around in a diaper, but then decided to put on a pink ballerina outfit. She ran back into the room with my nephew and his friend and my sister heard the friend say, "Oh, that's a girl!"

Then, I was at my friend's house a few days ago and her 5-year-old daughter came home from the neighbor's house and walked in to find C, once again, in a diaper. Right away she asked her mom, "Who's he?" When her mom told her it was C, in total disbelief she replied, "It is?!"
Please, hair, grow...please...

  7. I can't believe you did that to your kids! I must admit I got quite the laugh out of it. Don't let people's comments bother you about Claire. Since Amaya is bald I get it a lot...and I mean a lot. I even dress her in pink and purple and people will say what a cute boy and I have to correct them. I've gotten used to it for the most part. Then again with the hair cut occurance I'm sure this is new for you.
